What is BMI?
BMI (Body Mass Index) is weight divided by height squared (kg/m²). It’s a quick screening tool for weight status, not a diagnosis.
How accurate is BMI?
It doesn’t distinguish fat from muscle and can misclassify athletes or very muscular people. Use it alongside other measures and clinical advice.
What is VO₂ max?
VO₂ max estimates how much oxygen your body can use during intense exercise (ml/kg/min). Higher values usually indicate better aerobic fitness.
Which VO₂ method should I choose?
Cooper: 12‑min run distance. Rockport: 1‑mile walk time + finish HR. HR‑based (Uth): uses resting and max HR (can estimate HRmax from age).
